This qualification has been designed to encourage participation in education and training in other related areas by establishing a framework of education and training for prospective Verification of Ground Gas systems. The Portfolio and on-site assessment creates a robust knowledge base which will be recognised within industry as the standard.

The NVQ 3 is already in guidance documentation through CIRIA for Retrofitting hazardous ground gas protection measures for developments and BRE211 Radon Guidance on protective measures for new buildings.
